Here is a view facing North of some of our Ceremonial land.

As if it wasn't already hot in Florida, here Charlie and Chris are captured bringing the Stone People into the lodge. We are blessed with a wonderful family to share these ways with each other.

Oniyan Wakan Tipi is a song troupe. We are a group of individuals who sit around the Sacred Drum to sing and learn Ceremonial songs. We get together on an irregular basis in Ceremonial settings to continually improve the power of our voice. We also gather on a regular basis every Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. when we are in town at our home in the Crestone BACA. By understanding the meanings of these songs, the languages can be further preserved, along with the integrity of the ritual structures. We are working hard to protect the use of these Sacred Ceremonial Songs. Our songs consist primarily of Yuwipi/Lowanpi, Heyoka Kettle/Wankia Songs (Thunder Beings), Inipi (Sweat Lodge), and Canupa/Sundance Songs of various lineages. If Ceremonial circumstances permit, we are able to share inter tribal peyote songs, although that is an entirely different matter. We welcome those who are serious about learning and/or sharing North American spiritual songs.
Being under the guidance and tutalage of many spiritual leaders and elders allows us to be a powerful example of Indigenous Spirituality in a misguided contemporary world. Hosting and sponsoring sweat lodges facilitated by many different spiritual leaders gives us the opportunity to appreciate our cultural diversity as well as our own extended family’s way of doing things. We are trying to define the differences and avoid a generic blending of tradition that has been so detrimental to cultural identity. We are maintaining the integrity of the Ceremonies the way we have learned them. Rather than being unique and innovative, our focus is upon quality and consistency.

This travelling option takes about 15 minutes with more turns and less bumps and gravel: From Road T take a right on Camino Baca Grande heading South. Drive until just after you drive over Willow Creek (about 2 miles). Turn right (West) on to Camino Real. Drive for about ½ mile. Take a left (South) on to Wagon Wheel. Drive for about 2 miles until the stop sign then take a left (East) on to Camino Del Rey. Drive for about 1.5 miles until the next stop sign then take a right (South). The road turns to gravel (about 100 feet) then take a left (East) on to the next street which is Fallen Tree Overlook. Take a right on to the next street which is Rambling Way. We are the second house on the right set back from the road with the green roof. You’ll see the sweat lodge and tipi.
This is another option which also takes a total of about 15 minutes but is more of a direct route (This road may be rough for some vehicles): From Road T take a right on Camino Baca Grande heading South. The road will turn into gravel and be bumpy but keep driving straight past all of the Spiritual Centers. Not too far after The Shumei Center you can look down and see our tipi. The road will turn into a T and you will have the option to take a left towards the Stupa or a right onto Tranquil Way. Take that right heading West and then you will go down a steep hill and the next right is our street which is Rambling Way which heads North. You will pass Serene Way on the left but keep going straight. The road will veer to the left. We are the house on the left set back from the road with the green roof. You’ll see the sweat lodge and tipi.
